Meagan Marie’s Charitable Cosplay Shop

80s Nintendo t-shirts

Meagan Marie, a west coast cosplayer, recently opened her Charitable Cosplay Shop (CCS) to benefit Room to Read (RTR), an organization that focuses on literacy and gender equality in Asia and Africa. They operate in Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Nepal,Laos, Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

One of RTR’s main goals is to provide young girls with the same learning opportunities allotted to boys, such as sending them to secondary schooling and providing them with more learning resource like libraries, classrooms, etc.

CCS will offer Meagan Marie prints, art, and bundle packages that include prints from a large group of participating cosplayers including: Abby Dark Star, Kelly Jean, Destiny Nickelsen, and Lisa Lou Who.

Specialty items like a signed copy of Cosplay World, the 200+ page paperback delving into the world of cosplay over the years, round out the wide-spanning offerings.

There’s no shortage of great products to purchase. And now you have opportunity to contribute to a great cause that stretches further than conventional standards. Be a part of something bigger than you, and get some kick-ass cos stuff while you’re at it.

100% of the proceeds go to RTR. This is the only way you can purchase MM prints, so make sure to get them while they’re hot. The store will be open until November 24th.

Last year, CCS raised 2,500 for The Trevor Project, an organization focused on suicide prevention within the LGBT community.

Marie’s goal this year is $5,000 for RTR.
