Supergirl Leaves CBS and Moves to The CW

This past week, networks revealed which shows were to be renewed and which shows would get the axe. One popular series in question was CBS’ Supergirl. Though the series was doing quite decent with ratings, it just cost too much money produce on CBS. So rather than hitting Supergirl with a fistful of kryptonite, The CW decided to give the series new life with their network which loves their superheroes. Supergirl will join series like Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. The news has many fans excited at the possibilities of future crossovers and more.

Marvel’s Agent Carter is No More

Among the long list of shows receiving the axe from ABC, was Marvel’s Agent Carter. The series only lasted two seasons and due to poor ratings, the network decided to put the show to rest. With everything that is going on in the MCU, it’s unsure that we will see the beloved Marvel character anytime soon. The cancelation of Agent Carter also lead to Marvel’s Most Wanted, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff, to have the plugged pulled on it as well, long before it ever had a chance to air. Also among the list of shows cancelled by ABC were Galavant and The Muppets. And yes, I’m heartbroken that The Muppets got cancelled.

Sons of Anarchy Spinoff Gets a Title

Kurt Sutter is going revisiting the hit FX series Sons of Anarchy but this time, it’s going to tell the story of a different club, the rival tuned ally, Mayans. FX has ordered a script for the spinoff series which is titled Mayans MC. Sutter will develop the series with Elgin James, who will also write the script. The series is described as “a dark, visceral family drama that takes a new look at the most American of icons, the 1 percent outlaw, this time, reflected through a Latino lens.”
